This is my most favourite vegan chili recipe ever! Unlike a lot of vegetarian chili recipes, this isn’t just layers of beans. In my vegan chili recipe I dry season and then dry out tofu, and stir it into the chili. This make the tofu this amazing chewy, super satisfying chili that is above and beyond any meatless chili I have ever tried. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!
You nailed it! This is the best vegan chili I’ve ever had, even better than a fussy one by America’s Test Kitchen that was just meh. I did a couple of tweaks by frying a blob of tomato paste for umami, as well as some spices bc I’ve heard their flavor is oil soluble. I’m a meat eater trying to eat more plant based, and it’s been a challenge finding good recipes.THANK YOU for a yummy go-to vegan recipe.

I made this chilli and it is good. The tofu wasn't weird at all, it reminded me of the ground beef I'm used to. I'd recommend making this recipe!

I Love Chili! my GF Has Made some Vegan Chili we Put Seitan in it a few Times super good but that's Giving me a belly lol we will have to try your Idea with Tofu! Can't wait for the cold Fall and winter months Love Chili on a cold day who Doesn't.?
