Great video; interesting and thorough. I couldn't find the non-fortified when i went to buy it so i bought the fortified which is amazing on popcorn! But i will try harder to find the non-fortified.
11:18 – Why is this imperative? Are there risks of consuming yeast grown on genetically modified beets or sugarcane? Thanks for any information you can provide.
really good source of b vitamins if your struggle, 1tbs hits almost 100% of all b vitamins rni's
Cyanocobalamin is the more shelf stable of the two types of B12 , so don't go for methylcobalamin.
does nutritional yeast make you gain weight ?
My wife and I love nutritional yeast on popcorn, but I never really knew what it was, so I decided to watch this video. I must say, very WELL DONE!! It was very informative and I too appreciate that you dove into the differences between brands and fortified vs not fortified. I learned a lot and am inspired to check out more of your channel. Thank you!!
I wouldn't do the one with folic acid in it though…..cancer links
I sprinkle it on my food. It's Delicious! And if I run out, I can tell the difference in how I feel.

I really like all of the fluffy crap about MSG and how its not in yeast, but yes it is in yeast, in a very slightly different form.
It doesn't matter anyhow, there is nothing at all wrong with MSG. Unless instead of dietary science you base your food choices on hippy food vibes that revolve around bad food words (chemical) and blessed food words (organic)
"We would avoid" things because they are "synthetic". As if that explains at all why you should or would avoid something.
The shit is like a cult.
You did not even mention those with Crohn’s disease should be warned that some studies show yeast may negatively impact those with this disease, whether diagnosed or not.

I bought some Nutritional yeast at Good Earth Market found in a bin labeled "Organic" but there was no mention of nutritional value.
EXCELLENT! Thank you. It's delish, but I think I will return mine to the Health Food Store.
