I didn't know the Happy Pear books/channel but it looks really good, thank you for that! I'm not really into cooking books, I always feel like I fail at doing recipe if I don't have a visual output, but I loooove food channels on youtube. Some of my favorites: Avant-Garde Vegan, The Vegan Corner, Peaceful Cuisine (the cinematography is so so so beautiful), Liv's Healthy Life, Hot For Food, and Pick Up Limes. 🙂
Jamie Oliver's Superfood Family Classics has loads of good veggie and fish recipes in 🙂 I don't think you can beat a bit of Jamie Oliver. Also, Jackie Kearney’s Vegan Street Food is meant to be amazing, although I don't have that one so can't personally vouch for it.
I highly recommend "Community" and 'Neighbourhood" by Hetty McKinnon. I got Neighbourhood first so it is my favourite, but my friend got Community first and swears it's better. Either way each week we always reach for these and Jamie Oliver to plan out our meals for the week. Love Love Love it
I have made the sweet potato gnocchi from A Modern Way to Cook and it was so so good! A bunch of other people recommended Thug Kitchen, and I would echo their praises. Those recipes are vegan and delicious!

I've got Salad Love in Dutch. Love that book. I need pictures in cookbooks too, and the recipes are very easy to make.

Their restaurant is amazing (3 in London) and everything is Veggie and has Vegan twists too. Really delicious and wholesome recipes. Would recommend basically everything but their Burrito, Basil Mayo and peanut butter brownie are top of the list. It can be purchased in their store or on Amazon.

I want to have all of these now! Didn't realise the hairy bikers had a veggie book out so I'm well excited for that! I'm not sure I have any veggie cookbooks. All my veggie recipes come from magazines which I save or Pinterest. Sounds like an excuse to get some books…
You have some lovely books, I love the look of the salad book. I live in Ireland and went to see a demonstration eve from the Happy Pears where they tell their story of how they set up in business (really cool story) and also had food samples during the show which were yummy 😋
I absolutely love Meera Sodha's Fresh India, which is a vegetarian Indian cookbook that is just amazing – I'm essentially teaching myself to cook out of it, and there's really something for everyone, all levels of complexity, and some great background info about spices and pulses and stuff like that that you might be less familiar with coming from a non-Indian background. Love love love it!
Thug Kitchen: Eat Like You Give a Fuck is great because they talk about protein and a bunch of other things. I've made their guacamole, all the tofu marinades, their okra and potato breakfast hash, apple baked beans — their grilled peach salsa is AMAZING — I don't think there's been a single dish from there that I haven't liked.

Looking through cookbooks makes me hungry too, I just want to wave a magic wand and make all of the meals appear in front of me for real 🙂
I laughed when you commented on the photo of the pasta… and then said it was one of the meals you were planning to make! Not all books get good photographers, and yes, sometimes vegetarian recipes all end up sounding a bit the same, especially when it's a cookbook by someone who isn't actually a veggo, because they have a really limited view of what eating vegetarian is like.
Ooh, if you like Salad Love, I'd suggest you look into Salad Samurai by Terry Hope Romero! It is my fave cookbook, it is also split into seasons, and I have made every single salad in it, chronologically 😀 It's all vegan, but you could add non-vegan things to the salads if you want 😉 Gosh, I wish I'd been on YouTube to do a video of my year cooking from that book!
I keep hearing about The Happy Pear but I've never looked into their books or recipes – will do!
the original thug kitchen cookbook has some pretty awesome recipes, mango curry and beer roasted cauliflower tacos are some of my faves from it. It's also just amazing for a laugh, it never ceases to make me smile even though i've flipped through it a million times
Love the Happy Pear recipes. They always turn out so great! Also those twins have more enthusiasm for food and life than I've ever seen. I'd highly recommend following them on Instagram and watching their stories.
I love the Hairy Bikers! Totally agree about the photography in the book, does nothing to show off the dishes really. I'm with David, no pics won't cook it.
Greetings!! Vegetarian Cookbooks—Cool!! Maybe…maybe once or twice a month you could do "Veggies With Lauren"–you could film yourself cooking a vegetarian dish!! That would be cool!!! A Veggie Demo!!!!
I found a good one called One Part Plant by Jessica Murnane. She's advocates eating at least one vegetarian meal a day even if you're not a vegetarian. I bought it due to being put on a very strict diet by my doctor and needed better recipes. It has a few really good ones in it.
