Thanks for sharing. I'm going back to Japan again this Fall and have lived there in year 2011, went back to visit in 2014 and also 2015. You're right. The concept with vegan and vegetarianism is still fairly brand new to the average Japanese citizen. My diet has been even more refined throughout these years. I will visit Kyoto again this time as it is my favorite city! I'll see if I can visit those recommendations of yours. Thanks
